Option sets are named groups of choices and pricing rules. Create them from print templates, share one set across many products, and update them all at once.
An option set is everything a customer answers about a print job — sizes,
materials, finishes, quantities, artwork — together with the pricing rules that
turn those answers into a price.Sets are independent of products. One set can serve a single product or fifty,
and editing it updates every product that uses it.
Outline (left) — the structure of your set: sections, and the fields
inside them. Drag to reorder, and use the + buttons to add.
Editor (middle) — the settings for whatever you selected: a field’s
label, type, choices and price changes, or the product’s own settings.
Preview (right) — the real configurator, updating as you edit. What you
see here is what your customer sees.
Your work saves as you type. The Product settings — reached by
clicking the product name at the top of the outline — hold the title,
layout (all sections at once, or a step-by-step wizard) and currency.
Shopify and WordPress reach the same behaviour by different routes:
Products page → find a product that has the options →"Apply to more…" → tick the other products → Apply
Open each product → Print Options tab →choose the same set from the dropdown → Update
Once several products share a set, editing it once republishes to all of them.
The builder tells you how many: the publish button reads Update 4 products
rather than just Publish.
Choose Remove on the Shopify Products page, or select None in the
WordPress product tab. The product immediately reverts to your store’s normal
add-to-cart, and nothing about the option set itself changes — other products
using it are unaffected.
